Hey, I’m Ceri!

I’m a freelance science writer, video host, and producer based in Western Montana (the unceded territory of the Salish nation).

I help people think critically about educational media and storytelling, especially on the internet. Some of my current clients include: Class CrunchLabs (writing videos for middle school curricula aligned with NGSS standards), Project for Awesome (producing an annual charity livestream), and the Eisner and Hugo award-winning comic Monstress (assisting with editorial tasks).

Throughout my career, I’ve developed YouTube series with Crash Course and Study Hall, cohosted the science comedy podcast SciShow Tangents, project managed digital children’s games with GBH, led teams of 2–3 staff and 20–30 contractors, and edited hundreds of educational scripts for clarity, tone, and accuracy. In 2024, I committed to the bit hard enough to become part of the Forbes 30 Under 30 in Education list.

I like beagles, rain, cartoons, and green tea. I’m half Malaysian Chinese. I’m queer. I use she/her pronouns.
